Monthly BRAC Implementation Committee Meeting

The monthly meeting of Montgomery County’s BRAC (Base Realignment and
Closure- move of Walter Reed to Bethesda Naval Medical Center by 2011)
Implementation Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, 16 Oct 07 at 7:30pm
at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Ln,
Bethesda.
Maplewood has a seat on the Committee.
The focus of this meeting will be how to review the Navy’s
Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) when it is released (last possible
date mentioned was Nov, but it may be further delayed). Speakers,
including a fellow Maplewood neighbor, will discuss the EIS process.
The public is invited to attend and an opportunity is available at the
end of the meeting for their comments.
